The Asian Pacific American Story Is Vital to America’s Story.

Yet no national museum chronicles it.

Now is the time to create one on the National Mall.

In June 2022, President Joe Biden signed into law H.R. 3525, authored by Rep. Grace Meng, which established the bipartisan Commission to Study the Potential Creation of a National Museum of Asian Pacific American History and Culture.

This is the first step to gain Congressional authorization of the National Museum of Asian Pacific American History and Culture.

Friends of the National Asian Pacific American Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit—independent of the Commission and the Smithsonian—formed to garner community and targeted support for the authorization and creation of the Museum.
